New Year, slow updates

Let’s see what the new year brought. Moved into a new place, it wasn’t quite as bad I was expecting it to be. There’s still stuff that needs to be organized but it feels good to be throwing old junk away.
I bought a shredder and finally started going through old paperwork. I found paystubs dating back to 1995 when I was making $9 an hour as a summer intern. That’s big money when you’re 18/19 and minimum wage was $4.25 I believe. It was interesting seeing my pay grow.
I went from $9 to $9.50 to $10 to $10.50 and then a big jump to $15 and then $15.75 in a span of about 5 years.
Also interesting was looking at old credit card statements, looking at what I used to spend my money on(car stuff) and seeing my spending grow.
It’s almost like a time capsule, I can look back at credit card statements and it brings back memories to what was going on in my life at that time. Maybe I should have kept them instead of shredding them.
