Been running on the treadmill for almost 3 weeks now. Ran/walked 3 miles on Friday.
The first attempt at running last year, it took almost 2 months for me to get up to 3 miles.
It’s still embarrassing though when someone older with a gut gets on next to you and outruns you.
I figure I’m building on up so that when Jan 1st comes and all those people with new year resolutions to work out come into the gym, I won’t be quite as embarrassed.
I told someone the other day, I run so that I can keep eating what I want to eat. Fried chicken after a run, Yum!

Hey there!
Did you keep running or did you fall off the wagon? I looked under your “Running” category and this is the last entry filed.
I just got back into a routine with my girlfriend last week after almost a year of not working out at all. I’ve been running 30 minutes at a time, and am working up the mileage as best I can. My last run was 1.94 mi. in 30 minutes. After that run, I step off with a bit of vertigo, and research on that is what brought me to your blog.
I’m also getting interested in weight training and suppliments. Do you do any of that?
Take care,
JL!

I have been working out on the treadmill for a month now. I usually jog at 5mph for 20 minutes. there is no uneasyness as long as I am working out. but as soon as i get off it, and mind you afer properly cooling off, I feel dizzy. i have to hold on to the rails or anything nearest to me before i can find a chair quickly and sit down on it. As soon as i sit down the dizziness start waning and I begin to feel better. My head clears off within 30 secs of sitting down.
