I’ve been using a computer for about 20 years now and I have never spilled any liquid on a keyboard until a few days ago when I spilled about a quarter of a Frappuccino onto my keyboard. It was fine for the rest of that day and I thought I was going to be fine but when I woke up the next morning, a couple of keys were sticking.
I’m quite particular about the keyboards I use. Some people like the click clack of the older keyboards, others like the natural keyboards that are split down the middle. Dell quietkeys have been my favorite for a while now. We have quite a few extra ones at work so I snagged one and all is good in my keyboard world. But now, I have two keyboards, the sticky one and the good one. There are only about 5 keys that stick on the sticky keyboard, and it seemed like a waste to throw out an otherwise perfectly good keyboard. I’m still not quite sure what to do with it but in the meantime, I stole the A off the sticky keyboard and rearranged some keys on the good keyboard and spelled my name on it. I’ve always wanted to do this.
